The Gaston Parks Committee consists of five members to be appointed by the Mayor upon recommendation of the City Council.  The City Council, by way of appointment will select one member from City Council to serve as the Parks Liaison.  Of the five members appointed, except the Parks Liaison, residence in the City is not required for members

Parks Committee members shall be appointed for staggered four-year terms.

Parks Committee meets monthly as needed, but not less than six times annually.
